Returning to stand up after a 8 year break as a Pro Wrestler has found Steffen a little older, wiser and bigger than before, but still ready to find the lighter side of any subject or audience member thrown at him.Prior to his time away Steffen had been performing for several years in the North of England. An original member of Newcastle Upon Tyne’s "Near The Knuckle" team with such luminaries as Anvil Springstein, Vladamir McTavish, Gavin Webster and Ross Noble, he brings a different approach to whatever venue he performs at.With Ross Noble, the two wrote and performed sketches on ITV’s children’s Saturday Morning show Gimme 5 for a season as well as doing a health and fitness show called Burst! for ITV as well as numerous regional shows in the North East. Now back doing stand up he is one of the regular comperes at the Funny Bones chain of clubs in the North East as well as getting booked as either a 20 to 30 minute slot or as MC in other clubs. He is the worlds first Fat Mime artist and has recently won the Literature North East’s "New Word Order Slam"
Imagine your doctor decided to swap the stethoscope for a microphone and found out laughter really is the best medicine. Meet Dave Wandless, an observational and satirical comedian who weaves his experiences as a GP into a hilarious commentary on the state of the NHS, the absurdities of modern medicine, and the joys of living (un)healthily. With a cheerful, cheeky, and self-deprecating style, Dave has audiences wondering if he’s actually a practicing doctor (we think in a good way - they think he should be a comedian!).
After being told by a seasoned comic to "get a life" and a psychiatrist to "get a good strong girlfriend," Dave did one better: he got married, took a 10-year hiatus, and returned to comedy with a prescription for laughter. Since then, he’s had two sell-out performances at Breakneck Comedy in 2024 and has shared the stage with comedy heavyweights like Craig Campbell, Larry Dean, and Justin Moorhouse.
By day, he's a dedicated GP and university lecturer shaping the doctors of tomorrow; by night, he's the doctor making you laugh till it hurts. Come see why medicine and comedy make the perfect remedy!
Bio - Ryan is a young single father that talks about his experiences of being a young and dad and what it's like meeting woman at his age while you have kids. He also tells stories of where he grew up and his friends that made up his upbringing.
The loud-mouthed bible-bashing alter-ego of former teacher Jim Muir simply demands attention with his in-your-face evangelical preaching. The larger-than-life act is an impressive performance that can blow an audience away with the power of personality.
The Reverend Obadiah brings his love of heavy metal music and hot-tub bible readings to the Edinburgh Fringe 2013, ever keen to expand his flock. Join your fellow flock and special guest sinners for an hour of no-holds-barred God-fearing, soul-saving and unsolicited sexual confessions.
The Reverend has taken to spreading the word of the Lord on the Radio with his weekly Saints & Sinners round up on Kerrang’s breakfast show and also the Devil’s Own Television, as well as around comedy clubs all over the UK. He was a regular on all 4 series of BBC’s Live Floor Show, for which he was nominated for Scottish BAFTA’S best newcomer award. His 2003 Edinburgh Fringe double-headline show with Frankie Boyle provoked massive, diverse reactions and was simultaneously hailed as the most exciting and original as well as the most offensive and dangerous show on the Fringe. The Reverend’s debut solo Edinburgh Festival Show, What Would Charlie Sheen Do? received 5 star rave reviews. The Reverend’s alter-ego Jim Muir wrote on 2 series of the Channel 4 Jimmy Carr vehicle, Distraction and subsequently 8 Out Of 10 Cats as well as for BBC Two’s Mock The Week. Jim continued to be a key writer for Boyle’s own projects on and off-screen until 2012 when his own commitments took over.
'His act is a tour de force in political incorrectness, and when blended with a brilliant sense of timing, it proves to be devilishly funny... Uproarious... Hilarious!'
Broadway Baby
'Unforgettable character comedy’
Evening News
'The best comedian I've seen who doesn't have his own chat show....It baffles me that the Rev (played by Jim Muir) is performing at Fringe bar in Edinburgh when he could easily fill a prime-time slot on ITV’
The Spectator
'The man is a tornado, a fount of pitch-perfect jokes coupled with quite masterful timing and material that flouts the very laws of censure... Howlingly funny'
