Comedian Carey Marx is the writer and star of BBC Radio 4’s Intensive Carey, twice winner of Best International Show at the New Zealand Comedy Festival, and Leicester Comedy Festival Best Show nominee.
His previous twelve solo Fringe shows have been described as, ‘Quite brutal, in a darkly comic Quentin Tarantino kind of way’ (Chortle), ‘Comedy of the most cerebral variety’ (Herald), ‘Essential Viewing’ (Fest), ‘Supremely-crafted comedy’ (List), ‘Awkward misfit Marx has a genius for the unexpected and hilarious left turns’ (Guardian), ‘Such a devilish grin, that you can only admire him for being such a magnificent bastard’ (The Scotsman).
A circuit veteran, Marx concocts his own blend of dark humour with mischief and glee. His wilful disregard for the controversial and taboo is tempered with his ability to find joy in the most unexpected places. An international multi-award winner, Carey is no stranger to screen or radio with credits ranging from Channel 4’s Gas to BBC One’s The Stand Up Show as well as his own radio show, Intensive Carey (BBC Radio 4) adapted from his wildly successful 2013 Edinburgh Festival Fringe show of the same title in 2015. With such a unique voice it is no surprise that Marx has written for the likes of Newzoids (ITV), The Now Show, (Radio 4), and Nick Doody’s Bigipedia (BBC Radio 4).

Imagine your doctor decided to swap the stethoscope for a microphone and found out laughter really is the best medicine. Meet Dave Wandless, an observational and satirical comedian who weaves his experiences as a GP into a hilarious commentary on the state of the NHS, the absurdities of modern medicine, and the joys of living (un)healthily.
With a cheerful, cheeky, and self-deprecating style, Dave has audiences wondering if he’s actually a practicing doctor (we think in a good way - they think he should be a comedian!).
After being told by a seasoned comic to "get a life" and a psychiatrist to "get a good strong girlfriend," Dave did one better: he got married, took a 10-year hiatus, and returned to comedy with a prescription for laughter.
Since then, he’s had two sell-out performances at Breakneck Comedy in 2024 and has shared the stage with comedy heavyweights like Craig Campbell, Larry Dean, and Justin Moorhouse.
By day, he's a dedicated GP and university lecturer shaping the doctors of tomorrow; by night, he's the doctor making you laugh till it hurts. Come see why medicine and comedy make the perfect remedy!

Hailing from Inverness in the Scottish Highlands, Marc Ross is swiftly becoming known across Scotland for his high energy stage presence and a sharp eye for the absurdities of everyday life.
Marc has performed to sell out crowds at Breakneck Comedy Club, the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, as well as making appearances at the Edinburgh Fringe and Liverpool’s Hot Water Comedy Club.
