ince Mr Tony Law's breakthrough in 2011 – winning the Amused Moose Laughter Award with his Edinburgh Fringe sell-out show Go! Mr Tony! Go! – he has grown to become one of the most in-demand live acts in the UK.
His 2011 success culminated in winning the Chortle Best Breakthrough Act Award. He sharply bettered this in 2012 with Maximum Nonsense – which was nominated for the Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Award, won the Chortle Best Live Show Award (and helped Tony scoop the Chortle Best Club Comic Award to boot) and in Spring 2013 toured to sell-out crowds across the UK (including 2600 people in London alone at Soho Theatre and the Udderbelly Festival).
Relentlessly creative, a third solo show in as many years – Nonsense Overdrive – premiered to another total sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2013.
Nonsense Overdrive enjoyed a sell-out 60-date UK tour, including a sold out five weeks at Soho Theatre in December 2013 (playing to almost 4000 Londoners). In April 2014, Nonsense Overdrive returns to the capital as the headline comedy show of the Udderbelly Festival at Southbank Centre, where its expected to play to another 2000 fans of Tony's unique comedy.
Throughout all of Tony's solo show success, he has continued to be one of most in-demand and much-loved club comics, headlining comedy clubs and festivals all across the world. Raul Kohli is a fast rising comedian, Only having been pursuing comedy for 24 months, he has already impressed in a number of competitions, having been a Fosters So You Think You're Funny Semi-Finalist 2013, a Fosters Golden Jesters Comedian of the Year 2014, and a Harrogate Comedian of the Year 2014 Finalist . His debut solo Edinburgh Show was rated 4* by Joshua Phillips, editor of the Oxford Theatre Review, and was described by the Edfringereview.com as "Genuinely inventive...fresh, funny and meticulously contemporary." Having already been billed with acts such as Lee Nelson (BBC 3), Mitch Benn, (Radio 4), Kai Humphries (The Comedy Store), Fern Brady (8 out of 10 cats, Stewart Lee’s Alternative Comedy Experience S2) and Will Mars (Joke Thieves), in such a short space of time, this is definitely a comedian to look out for in 2014.
The bonafide "comedy-fizz bomb" Ayrshire born comic Billy Kirkwood has established himself as one of the United Kingdom's most watchable and versatile acts thanks to his loveable on-stage presence. His inventive and energetic stand up performances, coupled with a unique ability to make anything funny and an unbridled mischievous streak, have charmed audiences the world over.The award winning comic performs to packed out clubs, venues, festivals and events all across the UK, clocking up sell-out one-man shows at the Glasgow, Edinburgh, Brighton and Manchester international comedy festivals. He's supported tours for huge names including Tim Minchin, Frankie Boyle, WWE"s Mick Foley and William Regal, and Police Academy's Michael Winslow. Call Halbert was an impressionist and a comedian who auditioned for Series 5 of Britain's Got Talent, as well as being one half of The Mimic Men who auditioned for Series 10 of the show.In his Series 5 audition, he performed impressions of Michael McIntyre, Eamonn Holmes, Fabio Capello, Steven Gerrard and Billy Connolly. Amanda described the act as "Hillarious!" and went on to add that she believed each of his impressions were "Spot on!" Michael described Cal as part of "The new generation!" of comedians. He proceeded to advance onwards to the following round with three yesses, however failed to advance onto the semi finals.In 2015, Halbert teamed up with impressionist Alfie Joey to form The Mimic Men, who auditioned for Series 10 of Britain's Got Talent. The pair impressed the Judges in their auditions by performing an 'A to Z' of impressions, however failed to reach the Semi-Finals.
