Not for the faint-hearted, Scott’s un-comprising take on his gay lifestyle and white trash background make him as challenging as he is funny. A Perrier Award Winner, he has recently had his first novel published “Fowl Play”, a comedy about murder and date rape, to rave reviews.Reared in Daly City, California; at age 3, he swam the English Channel. Since 1993, he’s been telling unsavory jokes in every English speaking country. Scott is trusting and thus surrounded by duplicity, yet he continues challenging himself, because he’s physically challenged and emotionally unstable.Described by San Francisco Weekly as “stand-up in the very best possible sense – deadpan, ever-alert and hilarious”Scott has appeared in Mrs. Doubtfire, where, effortlessly, he played a homosexual; and Star Wars: Phantom Menace, where, breathlessly, he wore a body stocking.Scott is a veteran of our TV screens – he has appeared on such shows as BBC1’s The Stand-Up Show, hosted Is That It? for MAI United, and captained a team on the Channel 4 quiz The Staying In Show. A diverse performer, Scott’s talents were also incorporated into Star Wars Episode One: The Phantom Menace!
Imagine your doctor decided to swap the stethoscope for a microphone and found out laughter really is the best medicine. Meet Dave Wandless, an observational and satirical comedian who weaves his experiences as a GP into a hilarious commentary on the state of the NHS, the absurdities of modern medicine, and the joys of living (un)healthily. With a cheerful, cheeky, and self-deprecating style, Dave has audiences wondering if he’s actually a practicing doctor (we think in a good way - they think he should be a comedian!).
After being told by a seasoned comic to "get a life" and a psychiatrist to "get a good strong girlfriend," Dave did one better: he got married, took a 10-year hiatus, and returned to comedy with a prescription for laughter. Since then, he’s had two sell-out performances at Breakneck Comedy in 2024 and has shared the stage with comedy heavyweights like Craig Campbell, Larry Dean, and Justin Moorhouse.
By day, he's a dedicated GP and university lecturer shaping the doctors of tomorrow; by night, he's the doctor making you laugh till it hurts. Come see why medicine and comedy make the perfect remedy!
