Imagine your doctor decided to swap the stethoscope for a microphone and found out laughter really is the best medicine. Meet Dave Wandless, an observational and satirical comedian who weaves his experiences as a GP into a hilarious commentary on the state of the NHS, the absurdities of modern medicine, and the joys of living (un)healthily. With a cheerful, cheeky, and self-deprecating style, Dave has audiences wondering if he’s actually a practicing doctor (we think in a good way - they think he should be a comedian!).
After being told by a seasoned comic to "get a life" and a psychiatrist to "get a good strong girlfriend," Dave did one better: he got married, took a 10-year hiatus, and returned to comedy with a prescription for laughter. Since then, he’s had two sell-out performances at Breakneck Comedy in 2024 and has shared the stage with comedy heavyweights like Craig Campbell, Larry Dean, and Justin Moorhouse.
By day, he's a dedicated GP and university lecturer shaping the doctors of tomorrow; by night, he's the doctor making you laugh till it hurts. Come see why medicine and comedy make the perfect remedy!
